In 1536, Anne Boleyn is beheaded for treason related to the birth of her daughter, Elizabeth. The second wife of King Henry VIII, she was tried for charges related to conspiring against him. This was during his push to father a male heir to the throne. After several miscarriages and the birth of a daughter instead of a son, Henry VIII accused Boleyn of witchcraft. She was later executed at the Tower of London.
In 1935, Thomas Edward Lawrence dies of complications resulted from a motorcycle accident. A famed British archaeologist, scholar, and tactician, he’s colloquially known as Lawrence of Arabia due to his involvement in the Arab Revolt.
