Volunteers for Mental Health opens registration for summer camp

The Volunteers for Mental Health in Montgomery County (VMHMC) have announced the opening of registration for the 2026 Meet Me in the Middle Camp. The free camp will be featured at the Boys and Girls Club of Montgomery County, and will run from July 21 through 24 across four afternoons.

Tailored towards students in the 5th and 6th grade, the camp will feature team-building activities, guest speakers, and light refreshments. Jamie Selby, a local therapist at Mesa Waa Gii, will help develop students’ coping and self-regulation skills as they enter middle school.

This year’s camp was funded through the help of Central Indiana Rubber Products, the Amanda Douglas Memorial, and the Douglas family and their friends. They’ve provided financial support to the camp and other programming by the VMHMC since 2025.

Registration for the camp is open until June 8. Click or tap here for more information. Space is limited to a maximum of 18 spots. Questions can be forwarded to dbw@vmhmc.org.
