Friends of Linden Inc., a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has officially kicked off its annual fundraising campaign to support a full season of free, family-friendly community events.
In 2025, the organization raised approximately $9,000 in monetary donations, which funded three major community events: The Linden Easter Egg Hunt, Linden Movie Night, and The Linden Fall Festival. These contributions helped cover essential expenses such as decorations, entertainment, and food.
The Friends of Linden is proud to announce that ENGIE North America is the first sponsor for 2026. The company generously contributed at the Platinum Sponsorship level with a donation of $2,500. In the United States, ENGIE is a leading developer and operator of renewable energy and storage, with over 11 GW in operation or under construction – part of a global portfolio that makes ENGIE one of the world’s largest clean energy companies. ENGIE also has a 200 MW solar project in development in Montgomery County.
The Friends of Linden has set a 2026 fundraising goal of $10,000 in monetary donations. Donors who give by March 31 will be presented on the first round of printed banners and flyers for the season’s events. Monetary donations will continue to be accepted through September, and promotional materials will be updated as new sponsors come onboard. Community members, local businesses, and supporters are encouraged to participate and help strengthen the tradition of free, accessible events for the Linden community.
