Wabash College congratulated Class of ’27 student Prasun Panthi for earning a STEM-based research internship in Germany. This marks the second consecutive year a Wabash student has earned this opportunity.
According to Wabash’s press release, the internship is part of a program called DAAD RISE, where students are “carefully matched with doctoral students and researchers from universities of applied sciences”. Applied sciences can include the fields of mathematics, technology, engineering, and science.
Panthi’s focus will be on developing a theoretical framework for the Bose-Einstein Condensate to Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer (BCS) crossover in curved space. He is currently majoring in physics and minoring in mathematics. Only 300 summer internships are given by RISE Germany, a program promoting student exchange to the country.
