We stopped by the Crawfordsville | Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce to see what’s on the calendar as we approach the midpoint of February. Executive Director Stacey Sommer had a chance to speak with Dave on Tuesday about what’s coming up. Listen to the full interview below:
This morning was the Connections and Conversations (formerly known as Breakfast before Business) at Mont Co Events. Chamber members were invited to introduce themselves to speak a little about their organization. The next one will be on March 4th at 8 a.m. at the Hoosier Heartland State Bank Success Center.
The next Business Buzz will be held on February 19th at 5:00 p.m. in the Table Spoon. Its Pinnacle Sponsors are Hoosier Heartland State Bank and Lakeside Book Company. The next Bizz & Brew will be on March 17th. An open house will be from 9 until 10:30 a.m.

Another state legislative breakfast will be held on Saturday, February 21st at 9 a.m. at Crawfordsville Middle School. This panel will feature Brian Buchanan of Senate District 7; Jeff Thompson of House District 28; Mark Genda of House District 41; Beau Baird of House District 44; Spencer Deery of Senate District 23; and Matt Commons of House District 13. Cost is $10 for Chamber members and $15 for nonmembers. The event is sponsored by Valero Renewables in Linden, with catered breakfast by Smitty D’s Hot Dog Cart. Another City & County Legislative Lunch will be held on Thursday, March 12th from noon until 1 p.m. at the HHSB Success Center. The panel will consist of Crawfordsville Mayor Todd Barton; City Councilor Andy Biddle; County Commissioner Dan Guard; and County Councilor David Hunt.
